Façade Surveys

Taking a preventative approach to structural defects and repairs allows hotel engineering and building managers to mitigate risks before they become costly or potentially dangerous issues. To ensure a swift turnaround, we use MEWPs and, if needed, drone technology. This eliminates the disruption of scaffolding and allows our team to remove or make safe any loose structural items immediately during the survey.

Our specialists are qualified with years of experience providing authoritative appraisals with detailed recommendations.  Once the survey, you will be sent a detailed report that includes photographs of any defects or areas of concern. All key areas of risk are colour-coded, showing those that need immediate action and those that will need to be addressed within one month, six months, or 12 months, enabling precise budget planning.

FAÇADE CLEANING

Through our patented, gentle cleaning process, Façade Gommage, we reveal the natural beauty of your building’s stone or masonry by efficiently removing dirt and grime. This process is suitable for most surface substrates on modern and historic buildings.

  • The process: Projected under low pressure from a cabin mounted on a hydraulic boom, ultrafine dry particles of aluminium silicate (a chemically inert by-product of aluminium smelting) flow across all surfaces, gently rubbing away decades of dirt and grime. The material is then drawn off, filtered and collected through a water curtain for recycling
  • Uncompromised security: At the end of each shift, the cabin is retracted and the vehicle removed. Unlike scaffolding, our process leaves no ‘climbing frames’ for intruders, keeping your guests and property secure.
  • Discreet operations: We can work outside of standard business hours, ensuring your guests’ stay is peaceful and uninterrupted.

It is a common misconception that major masonry work requires scaffolding. In reality, virtually all maintenance and restoration works can be carried out using our agile MEWPs – minimising disruption to guests and staff and preventing security risks.

From stone repairs and repointing to roofing, painting, mastic replacement and bird proofing, our team handles the entire building envelope. There is no element of work on building façades that our specialist restoration and repair team cannot carry out.

For buildings with painted render or cladding, our specialist painters will quickly and effectively remove any existing paint, repair and renew, giving your property a fresh new look.

We can also help with window conservation. Our team don’t just paint and decorate; they restore windows. They will remove any defective putty and sealants and replace them to prevent leaks and water ingress.

All our commercial painters and decorators are trained by the Repair Care International Dulux Academy in the repair, maintenance, and conservation of joinery.
